How do I get started with the recorder app?

Create an account, subscribe to a plan, and you'll receive an activation key. Download the desktop app, paste your activation key when prompted, and you're ready to start recording!

New users get a 3-day free trial with 1 device slot. You can skip the trial and subscribe immediately with multiple devices if needed.

The number of devices depends on your subscription plan. You can view and adjust your device slots from the Manage Subscription page.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can cancel at any time from the Manage Subscription page. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period; we don't offer prorated refunds for unused time.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All recordings stay on your device. Payment is handled by Stripe. We store minimal user data and never share information with third parties.

Obskura is a digital product, so subscription payments are non-refundable and we don't offer prorated refunds. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for, then it ends automatically. Trial periods are free, so you can cancel during the trial without being charged.
