1. Policy Overview
Obskura respects intellectual property rights. Obskura is a software tool that helps users record publicly available livestreams locally on their own devices. Obskura does not host, store, upload, or distribute user recordings.
2. DMCA Notices for Content on obskura.app (Website Content)
If you believe content hosted on obskura.app infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA notice with the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material on our website and information reasonably sufficient to locate it (URL(s) required)
- Your contact information (name, address, phone, email).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

3. Reports About User Misuse (Local-Only Recordings)
Because recordings are stored locally on a user's device and are not uploaded to Obskura, we cannot remove or disable recordings stored on a user's computer. If you believe someone is using Obskura to record your content in a way that violates your rights, you may report misuse by emailing:

Please include:
- A link to the relevant stream/channel
- Dates/times (with time zone) when the alleged recording occurred
- Any evidence you have (screenshots, usernames, logs, etc.)
- Your contact information and a short description of the issue
4. Counter-Notification (Website Content Only)
If you believe that material you posted or accessed via Obskura was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed or disabled and its prior location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone, and email, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in Puerto Rico (or your local federal court if outside Puerto Rico).
Counter-notices should be sent to the same Designated Agent listed above.
5. Repeat Infringers
Obskura may terminate or suspend access for users who are determined to be repeat infringers. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of the Service complies with applicable copyright laws.
